At Quiztos, we believe in minimizing data collection to provide a frictionless experience. We collect two main types of information:

• Creator Data: Email addresses and basic profile information provided through Google OAuth during login.
• Participant Data: Self-reported display names and raw assessment metrics (scores, time spent, selected options) generated during quiz sessions.

2. How We Use Information

The data we collect is used strictly to operate the Platform. Creator data is used to secure your dashboard and manage the quizzes you own. Participant data is aggregated and displayed purely on the Creator's Analytics Dashboard to facilitate educational review. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Infrastructure

Quiztos utilizes Supabase (PostgreSQL) for secure, scalable data storage, paired with Next.js Edge infrastructure. All data in transit is encrypted via SSL/TLS. Row Level Security (RLS) policies are strictly enforced at the database level to ensure participants cannot tamper with assessment records or view unauthorized payloads.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain Creator authentication sessions. For participants, we may use local browser storage (via Zustand) to temporarily hold quiz states for the zero-latency evaluation experience. This local state is cleared upon completion or when the browser is closed.
